On a bright note…

All quiet in the battlefront as they say..except for some distant shots heard in the valley and the sewerage.

For once I’m glad things are a bit quiet. It’s been a hectic few months.

Well actually the week did start quite remarkably. There is this blog by a guy called Belmont Lay that emphatically claimed “It sucks to be PM Lee”…I mean really? With power and wealth at my disposal, I don’t mind being him..seriously. I mean rather than being called a Lay…This guy in case you’re not aware of, had his five minutes of fame by being rumored to be the boyfriend of Nicole Seah…yup you got it right, THAT Nicole Seah whose claimed to fame was of course being THE sob queen of Singapore politics, with a more sobbing ideas on how things should be done in this small island of ours. Anyway having a Lay name is not optionally wise, imagine what might follow throughout your journey in life…..What Lay ahead, Lay off and so forth.Of course the worse part is when you’re gone or down, Laid to rest or simply Laid…now that sucks…

Things start to get a bit interesting midweek when the doggy issues resurfaced, Our lovable PR Sun Xu”s fate remains undecided by NUS’s discipline panel but he’s already gone ISA style without trial in cyberspace. The verdict is out from day one when he posted those choice words and jumped straight into infamy. This is one person who better pray hard that life is going to be good and he will never be that desperate to try and smuggle more than 15 grams of drugs to Singapore. I mean our people will bay for his blood and demand he’ll be hanged twice..one on behalf of fellow human beings and the other for the dogs…I’ll bet lawyer M Ravi will think twice to take up his case.

Talking about M Ravi who is becoming the hot property of the underprivileged. From Madam Vellu’s constitutional rights to have an MP down to Malaysian drug trafficker Yong VK reserved judgement against his death sentenced, M Ravi had shown he is fast becoming the Bald Eagle of the Legal world. Well good luck to him, personally I’m delighted that we do have such talented people in our midst.

Then of course we do have all the humorous cartoons and images of our political leaders being flamed in the various social internet media…such talents are being wasted you know, but I guess since all the jobs are taken by Foreign Talents, one venue left is to express your talent to mass audience in the net world.

Talking about Foreign Talent, imagine this, on one of my rounds of inspection at 2 this morning, in one of our meeting rooms, found it to be dark and closed. Once I opened it, there through lights coming in from the corridors a couple was ‘doing it’. The guy of course I know, an IT Foreign Talent, the gal I don’t know but obviously very talented. So this is what we are getting into, but then let’s look at it as an isolated case.

What’s a week in exciting Singapore without a cry of complain. The MRT breakdown again. This time badly. Few theories have surfaced. I’ll list down 3.

1. As usual the Corporation is clueless as ever…50-50 chance true.

2. Sabotage…to wreck the Government’s image…50-50 chance true.

3. A  theory from of all people, my son…Government inside job, to sway the people view into accepting how critical for them to push the $1.1 billion bus-aid. Well I just tell him there is a big difference between his generations and mine.My generations eat mee rebus, where all the ingredients are initially separated and then mixed to become one sumptious meal. His is the Big Mac generation, where the ingredients are separated and then placed between two slices of buns. ..and that’s where their brains are most of the time, stuck between their skull and their a**es. As usual he couldn’t get the drift…oh well..my fault, I gave him the money to buy Big Mac in the first place….

So have a nice weekend..with a little reminder…
