So remember, hedging, not savings

‎”You know, the cure for all this talk is really a good dose of incompetent government. You get that alternative and you’ll never put Singapore together again: Humpty Dumpty cannot be put together again… and your asset values will be in peril, your security will be at risk and our women will become maids in other people’s countries, foreign workers.” – Lee Kuan Yew, April 2007

Indeed, sometimes I really do think this is what Singapore needs for a rude awakening/wake-up call. In the meantime, I’ll be preparing for it. And hopefully by then, after the dust has settled, all the over-zealous idealistic left-wing liberals still deluded in Lala-land can shut the hell up or leave this country for good. (A certain POS named Alex Tan seems to think New Zealand is a nice place to abscond to with “only” 50,000 migrants getting their PRs/citizenships annually there.)

The current govt isn’t perfect but they are definitely listening now and improving where it matters as fast as they can. But it’s not improvement these detractors want, they want an outright overrun of Parliament by the inept Opposition… nothing less. So remember, hedging, not savings.

Your Voice :

  • Agree with you, it is not improvements that they are seeking. Some of them think and hope that a regime change will magically transform losers into winners and winners into losers.
  •  I’m quite certain that this Opposition-majority scenario is but an inescapable eventuality. And worried about my kids future I truly am.
  • You r so right, only know how to complain but not interested or unable to come out with any solutions. Crying out for change, but for better or for worse?
